Our Pre-School offers places for 2–3-year-olds and our Nursery offers places for 3–4-year-olds. All children are entitled to 15 hours of free education the term after their 3rd birthday. Peartree Way offers this entitlement term time only, for 38 weeks of the year. Unfortunately, our Nursery is full for the current academic year. However, there is some availability in our Pre-school and enquiries/applications can be made at any time.

15 Hours (PART-TIME) Placement – Universal Entitlement
Children will be offered either 5 mornings (8.30-11.30) or 5 afternoon sessions (12.30-3.30), subject to availability. This ensures continuity for your child, so that they can be supported by their keyworker, make friends with others in their group and have a balanced curriculum over the week.
30 Hours (FULL-TIME) Placement – Eligible Families Only
Our 30 Hours funded offer is as follows – Monday to Friday 08:30-14:30, term-time only (parents to provide a nut-free packed lunch). Parents have the opportunity to extend our 30 hours offer with wraparound childcare (please see below).
It is important that you check your eligibility for 30 hours funding carefully before requesting a 30 hours’ placement. If you are unable to provide a valid 30 hours’ voucher code to us by the 1st July in the year in which your child starts Nursery, we cannot guarantee being able to offer you 15 hours’ placement.
WRAP-AROUND CHILDCARE FOR 30 HOUR (FULL-TIME) NURSERY PLACES
Our wraparound childcare is available to our full-time placements but is to subject to availability.
08:00-08:30 – Breakfast club – £3 per session, payable half-termly in advance (including fruit/cereal/milk)
14:30-15:30 – 30 hours extension – £30 per week, payable half-termly in advance
15:30-16:00 – After School Club – £3 per session, payable half-termly in advance (including a snack and drink)
PRE-SCHOOL PLACES
We offer 2-year-old funded places and paid-for places.
Funded Places
Children will be offered either 5 mornings (8.30-11.30) or 5 afternoon sessions (12.30-3.30), subject to availability. This ensures continuity for your child, so that they can be supported by their keyworker, make friends with others in their group and have a balanced curriculum over the week.
Paid for Places
Children can attend for mornings (8.30-11.30) or afternoon sessions (12.30-3.30), subject to availability. We require children attending on a paid-for placement to attend for a minimum of 2 sessions per week. This helps to prepare children for their transition to Nursery. Our fees are £18 per session, payable half-termly in advance.
APPLYING FOR A PRE-SCHOOL PLACE
We operate a waiting list for our pre-school places. If you would like to add your child to our pre-school waiting list, please complete our online form.
We offer three pre-school intakes each school year; one in the autumn term, one in the spring term and one in the summer term, subject to availability. The length of time children are on the pre-school waiting list in no way influences the decisions about places.
