Uniform 
We do not have a compulsory uniform at Peartree Way.
Following feedback and the desire to create a strong school identity our school colours are dark (bottle) green. Dark green sweatshirts and polo shirts can be purchased inexpensively from local supermarkets.
From September 2026 there is also the option to buy items which are branded with our school logo. The optional branded items are a fleece jacket, sweatshirt and polo shirt. These can be ordered directly from SMARTY Schoolwear using this link:
We will not be holding purchasable stock in school, however we will have some samples that parents can look at for size and quality before deciding to order.
SMARTY Schoolwear have a Stevenage shop where orders can be collected, but they will not currently be holding Peartree Way Nursery School stock in their shop: SMARTY School Wear, Stevenage, SG1 1BF.
We ask that any clothing worn supports toileting independence e.g joggers or leggings. Also, we know that children love to explore the mud kitchen, creation stations and our outdoor areas which may damage or stain their out of school clothes. Please send your children in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!
Shoes or trainers need to be practical with a closed toe so that children can safely access the garden and equipment. Crocs are not to be worn.
All clothing and equipment including coats need to be clearly named so that it can be easily matched with your child if lost or misplaced.
We also ask that children wear appropriate clothing for the weather e.g. a warm coat in winter and tops which cover the shoulders in the summer. We do have spare wellies and waterproofs for outdoor play.
